A lot of us might be pondering the following (very important) question: Do I need a range hood?
The short answer: yes.
The long answer: Range hoods are a major contributor to the improvement of the air quality in your home. Although indoor air quality isn't something you'd think about daily, it should definitely be something to take into consideration. The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) states the following:
"In the last several years, a growing body of scientific evidence has indicated that the air within homes and other buildings can be more seriously polluted than the outdoor air in even the largest and most industrialized cities. Other research indicates that people spend approximately 90 percent of their time indoors. Thus, for many people, the risks to health may be greater due to exposure to air pollution indoors than outdoors."
So, to answer the question 'Do I need a range hood?,' the answer is a resounding yes.
Why do I need a range hood?
It's baffling we're willing to take precautions to ensure the safety of our families when it comes to other perceived threats, but the very air we breathe in and the air pollutants we expose ourselves and our loved ones to on the daily is left out of consideration. Since range hoods come in all shapes, sizes and price ranges, there's no excuse to opt out. Do yourself and your family a favor, and choose a range hood.
